Universal Plug and Play Framework - UPnP / DLNA
Please add full support for UPnP 1.1 / DLNA for third-party applications - perhaps even DPWS for potential future devices. The phone as a media / device controller is growing in popularity (ex: Sonos controllers).
Thank you for the suggestion and commentary. While we have made progress on this front in the 8.0 developer platform, this suggestion is still not fully implemented. That being said, know that it is high on the consideration list for future Windows Phone releases.
Keep those suggestions and votes coming!

In WinRT there is the PlayTo API. would be nice to have it on Windows Phone 8 also.

At the very least, just the ability to bind to sockets (to listen) would help here. The UPnP stack is at the application tier, but without the ability to bind sockets we can't respond to events or even easily discover new devices.

I need functional OS and phone, which will make any my wishlist. I WANT CONTROL MY PHONE! And I Move GO to Android, because Windows Phone 7 OS IS NOT give full freedom for me. People, which development OS WP7 is stupid dev, because NOT understand this idea – IDEA for full control and freedom work with phone. If dev cant understand it simple IDEA – WP7 will be epic fail on market. I threw in the траш box now my HTC HD7… because WP7 is not a modern OS, it back become a thing of the past (at 2005 year or old).
