With the release of the Raspberry Pi 4, there is a need to create support for these new, powerful devices. With Windows IoT Core not even supporting the 3b+ yet, I have doubts this will happen. It's hard to convince my boss to use Windows IoT Core when most sensors/displays aren't supported, and that the most recent release is still targeting a 3 year old device.3 votes
Raspberry Pi devices are amongst the most popular out there and Win IoT does not support the rPi Zero.2 votes
I'm using WebAuthenticationBroker like this:
var logoutResult = await WebAuthenticationBroker.AuthenticateAsync(WebAuthenticationOptions.SilentMode, targetUri);
When I run this on a Windows 10 machine it works as expected and logs out the user. When I run it on IoT Core, it does nothing. If I inspect the WebAuthenticationResult, I see:
When I listen to the HTTP traffic with Fiddler, I don't even see the request being made when using SilentMode.
If I change the option to UseHttpPost or UseTitle, it works, but it's a poor UX given the design of our application.6 votes

Make a File Manager app so as to be visible from the IoT Core platform itself, without needing to open Windows Device Portal if you want to preview files on your device1 vote
Please make it possible to access removable devices, like an usb stick with a windows iot background app. It's a shame, that this is not possible!2 votes
According to this documentation: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/uwp/design/input/respond-to-the-presence-of-the-touch-keyboard I should be able to receive notifications for the input pane showing or hiding. This is not the case.2 votes

A container for starting applications inside it on Windows 10 IoT Core, instead of full-screen. This would allow creating launchers that have on-screen navigation bar and other contextual controls.2 votes
Cortana for Windows IoT core only supports English. Please bring all languages to Cortana for IoT because are needed to create devices for interacting people from around the world.
I thinks it's not difficult to do since Cortana for PC supports up to 13 languages, as listed on https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/instantanswers/557b5e0e-0eb0-44db-87d6-5e5db6f9c5b0/cortana-s-regions-and-languages10 votes
with new Version 17134 there are problems with function SwitchAsync() and friends.
On IOT devices like RASPBERRY or i-PAN M7 after call of SwitchAsync() you will get black or blue screen and devices reboots.
You can easy check failure with demo application MultipleViews from Windows-universal-samples-master.
Press button "Show selected view as standalone" and app is chrashing.
What is the problem? How can I solve it.
Add universal functionality and support for basic PickSingleFileAsync and PickSaveFileAsync functions on Phone and IOT
PickSingleFileAsync and PickSaveFileAsync functions do not work on IOT they just return nothing.
Also phone has support but is painful to use, why is it different to the PC version? Can it be made truly universal please.1 vote
Possibility to list usb devices connected to the phone, and interact with the connect devices.
Works on Android, connect a USB hub and a lot of usb gadgets (with no driver support) and open a socket/connection to the device to use it. Use it a lot with IoT gadgets and android, would love to change the android device to a windows phone device and use c#.14 votes

Side Loaded Apps - Full kernel driver access. Allow Windows IoT Enterprise embedded devices to run a WUP app and access its own PCIe Hardware. In theory it is allowed. In practice there is no way to petiton for help.1 vote
