Microsoft Edge Developer
Hi, are you a web developer or designer?
“No, I just want to share feedback on Microsoft Edge.”
Please use the Feedback Hub (requires Windows 10) to submit your feedback in the Microsoft Edge category. This site is for web developer and designer feedback only. Other feedback will be closed without action.
“Yes, I’m a web developer or designer with feedback for the Microsoft Edge platform.”
Great! This site is where the Microsoft Edge team collects feature requests from the web developer and designer community in the categories listed to the right. For bugs on existing features, please log an issue on the Issue Tracker.
Your feedback will help us with planning and to better understand how web developers and designers are using the platform. Top standards-based feature requests will also be copied over to status.microsoftedge.com, where you can track its development status.
For the most actionable feedback, please search and up vote for existing suggestions before submitting a new suggestion, and create a separate suggestion per idea. Note that off topic or inappropriate suggestions may be moderated. The Microsoft Edge team will use suggestions as an important input, but there are several additional factors that inform the final roadmap.
A note from our lawyers: Please do not send any novel or patentable ideas, copyrighted materials, samples or demos which you do not want to grant a license to Microsoft. See the Terms of Service for more information.

Edge pdf reader needs to remember where I left. When I start reading next time, edge should open the pdf where I left.
Remembering where I left is like a bookmark we leave in the last read page.

Enable inline installation from the Store
Inline (one-click) installation is a Good Thing for many use cases for web extensions: it improves the user experience. Two other browser developers have worked out how to handle this in a secure way.
A call to a builtin js function browser.webstore.install() that must be in the context of a user-generated gesture would be ideal.

Provide .torrent files for downloading IE VMs
Very low speed on direct link. Takes 12-13 hours to download Win10.

Add Support for 360 degree videos
Add support for 360 degree videos, as It says your browser is not supported. And its irritating to open another browser just to watch that video. Edge will be great again after adding this feature.

dev.modern.ie/tools/vms Win10 Preview VM can't install Windows Features
The Windows 10 Preview VM (16.16215) has some issues linking to installation media–it doesn’t seem to be able to find any way (including Windows Update) to install things like optional components. We have a script we run on the Windows 10 Stable VM to install some optional components and run functional tests using Edge, and it works great, but the preview VM can’t install things like .NET Framework 3.5 under Windows Features. I tried several tricks including playing with known group policy settings that affect this, but the VM doesn't seem to acknowledge any source as the correct version of…

dev.modern.ie/tools/vms Win10 Stable VM only licensed for 2 days
The Windows 10 Stable VM (15.15063) is only good for two days before it expires, after which time it constantly shuts down with no notice. Can you update it to so that it has the full 90 days?

Adding the ability to (re)name the "tabs that you've set aside" sections to have a better overview of what the different tab sections are about would further improve the great usability of this new feature that was introduced with the Windows 10 Creative Update.

Provide Windows Virtual Machine image files for Xen/KVM/QEmu.
Please provide Windows Virtual Machine image files for Xen/KVM/QEmu. This would help us developers/testers working without access to Windows or the possibility to install VirtualBox at work, but have access to Xen.

Add a roadmap/milestone/releases pages for Edge WebDriver
The current releases list (https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/tools/webdriver/) lacks dates and does not link to a "details page".
I also have no insight into the next release timeframe or feature set.
TypeScript does a good job of this via GitHub, providing a roadmap, Milestones and a releases page.

Where have the IE6 and IE7 VMs gone?
This page ( https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/tools/vms/mac/ ) used to provide VMs for IE6 and IE7.
In fact the copy still reflects this: "versions of IE6 through IE11"

debugger breakpoint (as in IE) using Visual Studio with the statement "debugger"
Could you please make as IE and Visual Studio, where you set in javascript the "debugger" word and then when I run the debugger I get a nice stop into that script. This would be such a great and useful feature...
Thank you!

checksums for virtual machine images
I think the virtual machine images, given their size, should have sha256 checksums available so that developers can validate them after download.
BTW I found the images here:

32-bit Edge VMs to support laptops without hardware virtualization
It is completely impossible for a fairly large community of developers to test in Edge at the moment, as only 64-bit VMs are distributed. Even on 64-bit CPUs, you cannot run 64-bit VMs without hardware visualization support; this is still not common on laptops. Please reconsider the decision to lock out developers on year-old hardware from testing Edge, or compatibility of your new browser will suffer.

Add OS X native virtualization and light weight Veertu as a drop down for running Microsoft Edge VMs on Macs for Dev/test
In the https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/tools/vms/mac/, you can add Veertu as a virtualization platform to run Microsoft Edge and other browsers for dev/test. Many developers with Mac are moving to Veertu because it's light weight, sandbox - Ideal for dev/test VMs and uses Apple native hypervisor framework.
