Ref: 1. Ability to Stretch data field. 2. Ability to print 'background graphics. Hi Microsoft peeps! I'm an owner, designer and Project manager for VirtualCaseManagement.com, I KNOW browsers!! Our CRM works w/ 4 (Chrome, Edge, FF, Safari). I'd use Edge and would rather but can't based on two (2) issues. This means all our customers that user our VCM product are having to use other browsers than Edge due to this. Please fix these two issues, PLEASE. ISSUE 1. My other business 25 yrs. (Counter-Intelligence.com) where I'm an Investigator and use VCM to type within Case Logs and note sections. When the GUI graphic box isn't wide enough I need to stretch the box so I can see and type. Chrome lets you do this... while a simple feature... its a huge issue when working within a CRM and most businesses today use a CRM. I would think you would want to fix this ASAP. 2. When our CRM prints reports or invoices... we have some gray shadowing (I can share an image if you like). That gray shadowing really makes a big difference into how the document prints. The shadowing shows on the screen and GUI within Edge, but when you print the report or invoice... the shadowing goes away, looking bad! In Chrome for example, when you PRINT... in their options next to margins there is a checkbox (radio button) to turn on or off background graphics. Can you please address these two issues... if you did... I would use Edge and push Edge to all of our customers. FYI: On a side note, I guess I'm an 80's kid and love MS and I'm also a USAF Vet and I do NOT like how Google searching appears to be biased along with them snubbing congress when they asked them to show. I say take them down and gain market share, perfect timing. Lastly congrats, I see you bypassed them in value recently... you got that back now crush them arrogant fools ;) Just my tidbit for the day. Thanks MS... I'll share this on MSWish@Microsoft.com if that's still around these days. Peace

give us option of intermideate zoom between 75% and 100% on edge browser like mozile or google chrome4 votes
Fairly trivial to implement, and Chrome does this well. Simply caching the shader binaries means subsequent compilations can be skipped and cached binaries loaded.
For web pages loading significant shader programs, this can be a huge improvement.2 votes
Actually renderingContext2D fillText and strokeText do not support embedded font kerning information in fonts.
This makes microsoft based text on canvas looks different from all other browsers.
Would be nice to support it57 votes
Give users the ability to use custom themes to truly personalize their Microsoft edge. I have been looking for a Clone Army 501st Legion Star Wars theme for the Longest Time.4 votes
From MDN: The OffscreenCanvas interface provides a canvas that can be rendered off screen. It is available in both the window and worker contexts.
From me: It would be great to prepare images and run WebGL without tying up the UI thread.58 votes
Please make <radialGradient>s behave like Webkit browsers!
Support the ImageBitmap interface: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/ImageBitmap
This includes createImageBitmap() with the options object (with settings like premultiplyAlpha). This is useful for better performance for preparing images for use in a canvas. In particular it helps speed up WebGL texture uploads, since the decode & premultiply step can be done asynchronously in advance instead of inside the texImage2D() call.
It will also unblock other APIs like the "imagebitmap" rendering context and OffscreenCanvas.40 votes
Support for advanced Canvas TextMetrics returned from context.measureText(), e.g. fontBoundingBoxAscent and actualBoundingBoxDescent.9 votes

WebGL: Support CopyTexImage2D for floating point texture sources or destinations.7 votes
Edge only supports msToBlob() currently. Please support standard toBlob().38 votes
A similar feature was already present in Google Chrome. When you access a site that is experiencing difficulties of access for multiple users an error message would be displayed informing you of the widespread problem affecting other users.
This feature would be interesting for developers and users that have to make sure that the problem is not related to the user, but the website.8 votes
Support the BackgroundImage and BackgroundAlpha input values in SVG filters.
Currently, using this value is even messing the rendering of the whole page:
When loading progressive jpegs as background images, nothing shows until the whole image has loaded. I thought the point of progressive jpegs was to show the low resolution scan first, then build up to higher resolution as the image loaded.48 votes
Support for multiline / new line / carrige return within the <title> element inside an svg shape when rendering tooltip.
Tooltip currently does render, however is only all on one line.
<svg height="140" width="500">
<ellipse cx="200" cy="80" rx="100" ry="50" >
It would be fantastic if you could support the canvas context isPointInStroke method as per Chrome, Firefox, Safari.
It is by far the easiest way to do hollow-object arbitrary path-based hit testing (way easier than the unbelievably challenging, bounding-box-based hit testing proposed in the standard).
At the moment, we have some rather poor fallback code for IE/Edge that approximates it using a bit of iteration over isPointInPath().23 votes
