Add ability to get user preferred languages via calling to "navigator.languages" and obtain array of DOMStrings representing the user's preferred languages.21 votes
Navigator.languages is in Microsoft Edge included in the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update.
As all developer know, the HTML input upload can't be styled, and we need to go the long way around to get a custom style for this type.
My idea is remove the rules about that you can't style it, so it become easier for developers to make this input pretty1 vote
It has been possible to style file uploads since IE10. The path field can be styles with [::-ms-value](https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh771841(v=vs.85).aspx) and the button can be styled with [::-ms-browse](https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn336890(v=vs.85).aspx).
For now very limited number of developers allowed to publish own extension in Microsoft Store and make own work available to users. Also there is no any way of how everyone else can be notified that extensions publishing to Microsoft Store is already possible. At least I hope that this issue can serve for this purpose, for everyone who vote for it.168 votes
Thank you for the feedback! We did start with a small number of publishers to validate the Edge extensions platform but have since updated and streamlined the Store submission to accept submissions from anyone. The extensions are still vetted for security, performance and other considerations but you can see that they are now being added at a much faster pace.
Both Chrome and Firefox have improved the performance of the reload button. Chrome no longer revalidates subresoruces on reloads. Firefox supports the cache-control:immutable header as a way for sites to signal that they do not want their sub resources revalidated before their expiration
Facebook's internal statistics show that browsers that do not support this behavior cause 10-20% more requests for JS/CSS because users use the reload button to refresh the site.21 votes
cache-control:immutable shipped with Edge 15 in the recent Windows 10 Creators Update.
Support for dataset and data attributes are included in SVG 2.
It is currently supported by Firefox 51+, Chrome 54+, old Android Browser and Safari 5.1+. (source: http://caniuse.com/#feat=dataset)28 votes
dataset is included in EdgeHTML 17 released today (30/04/2018)
The documentation has no single page (or if there's one, it's so hidden that I wasn't able to find it) that shows how to create extension.
Please provide a correct documentation to get started writing extension - or highlight the existing one if any.
I guess the adoption of Edge is directly tied to the number of available extensions, which is very low by now.15 votes
Thanks for the feedback! We have some new documentation published including a tool that helps port Chrome extensions:
Intersection Observers Explained https://github.com/WICG/IntersectionObserver/blob/gh-pages/explainer.md
Support in chrome https://www.chromestatus.com/feature/5695342691483648
Feature on caniuse https://github.com/Fyrd/caniuse/issues/2425215 votes
intersectionObserver is included in Edge 15, which shipped today (11th April) with Windows 10 Creators Update.
Edge's Promises are a lot slower than the implementations in other browsers. This causes severe problems in Promise heavy APIs.
Here is a fiddle that demonstrates the issue: https://jsfiddle.net/jdanyow/vj6o119n/
In Chrome this executes in 1m - 4ms.
In Edge it takes around 3500ms747 votes
This shipped today with EdgeHTML14, as part of the Windows 10 Anniversary update.
More effective lossless compression algorithm than gzip and deflate.696 votes
Brotli is included in Edge 15, which shipped today (11th April) with Windows 10 Creators Update.
In line with webgl support, be ahead if the curve in supporting the emerging web assembly standard.
Be ahead of the curve or at least on par with Mozilla, to be first or joint first in supporting this exciting new capability (even in beta or early release testing)

"The crossorigin attribute is a CORS settings attribute. It controls, for scripts that are obtained from other origins, whether error information will be exposed."146 votes

Make Pinterest button available for Microsoft Edge1 vote
While this is not the place to request individual extensions, there is a Pinterest extension already: https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/extensions/
Windows Phone 8.1 had an option to "Allow zooming on all web content" under Settings > Ease of use. This allowed users to zoom/pinch-zoom in IE even on sites that explicitly specified a viewport with fixed min/max zoom sizes or user-scalable=no.
This option seems to have disappeared in Windows 10 Mobile.
Old Android/Browser, Android/Chrome, Android/Firefox, and most recently Android/Opera (just added in latest 4.3) all now have a "Force enable zoom" option in the browser settings. The odd one out of the major platforms is iOS/Safari (see https://openradar.appspot.com/radar?id=6058762490085376).34 votes
I hope this idea has already been considered and is in development. But if it isn't, please add to the list. Would love the ability to cast a video to device from within the Edge browser. This ability has been around with other operating systems for years.3 votes
This is available in Edge for PCs – hit menu (…) then “Cast media to device”
Add support for the Element.closest() method.
Element.closest() is included in Edge 15, which shipped today (11th April) with Windows 10 Creators Update.
Backdrop Filters (with webkit prefix) are included in EdgeHTML 17 released today (30/04/2018)
Add support for pinning tabs in IE and in Edge, as Opera, Firefox, and Chrome allow.1 vote
Pinned tabs are available in Microsoft Edge with the latest Windows Insider preview! In the future, please file or upvote user experience feedback like this via the Windows Feedback (or Feedback Hub) app.
CSP Level 2 bring with it the ability the whitelist inline script tags using the `script-src: nonce-<nonce>` directive.
This allows applications that rely on a small set of inline scripts to still reap the xss-fighting benefits of disallowing all other inline scripts and inline event handlers.628 votes
CSP2 is included in Edge 15, which shipped today (11th April) with Windows 10 Creators Update.
AdBlock Plus, Bing, Translate1 vote
Extensions are now supported in Edge. Of the extensions you listed, AdBlock Plus and Translate have extensions available (see https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/collections/edgeextensions/pc) and Bing is already the default search engine.
