  1. Bring back WPF remoting over RDP

    Reverse the decision to render all content as bitmaps across RDP, as described here: https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/jgoldb/2008/05/15/whats-new-for-performance-in-wpf-in-net-3-5-sp1/

  2. Borrow Angular 2 ideas of...

    Allow for something similar to NgIf, NgFor, NgSwitch... right in xaml for the development of wpf applications. That is, allow for the basic If, For and Switch statements right inside xaml.

  3. Searching the text in WPF Combo box

    In WPF Combobox if we have the below list of values :

    "American",
    "Asian",
    "Belgium",
    "Canadian",
    "Europian”
    With WPF Combobox, when we press "A" key, It goes to American and then press A it goes to Asian now press B multiple times. After that we try to Press A it does not go back to American. We have to press "A" key multiple times to switch between the values and this behavior is unpredictable.

    It should work in following manner:

    If we press A, then it should navigate to the value which starts with A and if we press any…

  4. UWP Custom TitleBar

    Use a custom TitleBar is very inconvenient in UWP.
    1. I think the only thing for developer is call Window.Current.SetTitleBar(), not as the sample of TitleBar on github(https://github.com/Microsoft/Windows-universal-samples/tree/master/Samples/TitleBar).

    2. when add a fullScreen button in custom there has a gap lef to the minisize button, it is unreasonable.

    Not only do we want to improve the user experience, but also to improve the developer experience!!!!!!!!

  6. Although it breaks separation of concerns, a razor view engine in xaml would be helpful.

    Adding a MVC type Razor View Engine in XAMLcode would be more than helpful. It could access the windows/pages data context only and would prove helpful in creating simple converters on the fly or help coerce common values.

  7. Change the PropertyChangeTracker.OnPropertyInvalidation method to raise Changed event with meaningful EventArgs object...

    Change the MS.Internal.ComponentModel.PropertyChangeTracker.OnPropertyInvalidation method to raise Changed event with meaningful EventArgs object, which tells which DependencyProperty is changed.

    I am using the following code-construct to wire-up event handler for DependencyProperty changes:

    public void WireUp( DependencyObject obj, DependencyProperty prop )
    {
    var dpd = DependencyPropertyDescriptor.FromProperty( prop, obj.GetType() );
    dpd.AddValueChanged( obj, ValueChangedEventHandler );
    }
    private void ValueChangedEventHandler( object sender, EventArgs e )
    {

    }

    Unfortunately the EventArgs e represents an EventArgs.Empty object inside the event handler method block, which makes impossible to track which DependencyProperty was changed.
    As I see in the reference-source (http://referencesource.microsoft.com/#WindowsBase/Base/MS/Internal/ComponentModel/PropertyChangeTracker.cs,6c03ba1a17c9b49b) the MS.Internal.ComponentModel.PropertyChangeTracker.OnPropertyInvalidation method raises the Changed…

  8. To use the same Names of Properties in WPF in ASP.NET too

    In WPF you call it Background, but in ASP.NET you use Backcolor and in WPF it is Visibility and in ASP.NET it is Visible. That will the Software engjineer have to know. Probably now is the last Chance to introduce the same names in WPF in ASP.NET too.

  9. Declare dependency properties in XAML

    Declaring new dependency properties on my user controls and the like requires so much boilerplate, even with code snippets. (And why not update the snippet to use the nameof operator for the declaring class name if you're using C# 6, anyway? Would make refactoring so much easier!) Anyway, if I could declare dependency properties in XAML, I think that would be much more intuitive.

  10. Provide the ability to identify ToolTip (error messages) in Telerik WPF Controls: Coded UI

    The ToolTipText method present in Coded UI is not able to capture error messages which appear on hover. Neither the test builder tool's crosshair nor Ctrl+I combination are able to identify the error message. The reason for this behaviour seems to be design of the control as a hidden control.

    I'm attaching a screenshot of the error message which we try to capture. Here is a link to the MSDN Forums post which I made: https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/vstudio/en-US/9062a310-918e-40b1-8f7a-3f21e4a5ccbb/method-to-identify-tooltips-in-wpf-controls?forum=vstest

  13. Loop in XAML binding for WPF

    Loop in XAML binding for WPF

    Smething like this

    <Loop var="i" type="int" from="0" to="10">

    <DataGridTextColumn Width="*"
    MinWidth="50"
    Binding="{Binding Name[i],
    NotifyOnSourceUpdated=True}"
    CellStyle="{StaticResource TextDataGridCell}"
    Header="{Binding Source={StaticResource LocalizationManager},
    Path=Localized.Name}"
    IsReadOnly="True" />

    </Loop>

  15. Add a SplitButton control to WPF

    All free SplitButton controls I checked so far seem to lack in one way or another. Please add a SplitButton control that looks and acts like a standard control. It should both allow to act like a button (clicking on main body and dropdown arrow open a dropdown) and like an actual split button, where clicking on the main body executes a command and clicking on the arrow opens a dropdown button.

  16. Allow loading custom dictionaries from memory or reuse already loaded ones

    Currently, if I have multiple controls on screen, that require spelling check with custom dictionary, each of those controls load the dictionary from disk - so having 10 controls on screen might end up as 5-10 seconds of loading.
    There are several problems:
    - Adding custom dictionary is not asynchronous operation, so you can't make it happen in background
    - Even if you use pack uri to load dictionary from assembly resources, it still accesses the disk - not only for reading, but also for writing temp file
    - It needs not only load custom dictionary, but also parse it …

  17. Add WPF support for binding to async/task based properties

    Allow XAML binding to a property like this

    Public Task<ObservableCollection<Person>>
    {
    get
    {
    await LoadData();
    }
    }

  18. Add VisibilityTypeConverter to the Visibility enum to allow automatic conversion from bool to Visibility

    Please add the code found in this SO Question:

    http://stackoverflow.com/q/9723605/643085

    Implementing the VisibilityTypeConverter to automatically convert from bool to Visibility in WPF Bindings.

    This is a very little change and will eliminate the need for TONS of boilerplate and unneeded converters. Reducing not only unneeded XAML verbosity but also memory footprint, since converter instances require memory as well.

  19. shader constant buffers

    Add support for shader constant buffers for WPF pixel shader effects (ShaderEffect class).

    This feature would enable users to develop custom rasterization shaders - either for numerical data (function plots) or also vector graphics (for experimenting fun... or special stuff not available by WPF, e.g. higher order bezier curves for CAD or whatever). It would also enable users to develop more complex shader effects eyecandy.

    Using texture samplers would be a workaround, but I need the update performance of constant buffers (function graph plotting).
    Another workaround is using DirectX + D3DImage, but this is all to much overhead for this…

  20. Scale-invariant vector graphics

    I would like to be able to zoom/pan a detailed vector-graphics visualization without changing line width and font sizes using an easy tool like RenderTransform or LayoutTransform.
    Currently I need to manipulate line width and font sizes for my UI to appear correctly.
    (Useful for GIS/Mapping applications).
