  1. Add WPF Business Application project template, similar to Silverlight

Similar to the Silverlight Business Application template: A starting point for new developers which includes navigation, basic layout, perhaps some ViewModel pattern stuff.

    • Make WPF the sole STANDARD for building UI on ALL form factors of Windows.

Instead of having different models/APIs to build a UI for an application (whether Universal Apps or a Win32). WPF (or a more standardized similar form) should be the STANDARD for building ANY UI, and the developer should choose whether to optimize their UI for touch or desktop.
WPF (or this new standard) should incorporate (abstract) ALL other technologies (like native DirectX 11/12 support) and should have an easier, more complete toolset for tasks like building controls, binding, and globalization. Make this the standard of building simple or complex resolution/dpi agnostic, hardware accelerated UI for the unforeseeable future, with full support…

      • Add a native RDLC Viewer

the is not report support in WPF. Making a native RDLC Viewer without wrappnig the WinForms version would be nice

          • Port the LayoutStates from Silverlight 4

Animating items insertion and removal makes UI a lot nicer. But it's very hard to do without proper platform support, and you usual have to pollute your data model; and write hacks to prevent execution of commands on removed items, and so on...

Moreover this increases the compatibility surface between WPF and SL.

            • Provide a Simplified Webcam/Mic API like Silverlight 4

Both for Silverlight compatibility and for just ease of use reasons. The API in Silverlight 4 is really simple to use. The analogs in the WPF space are significantly more complex. Understood that this may mean implementing some of the SL media pipeline as a consequence.

              • XAML simplefication

Hi, it will make developers much more happy if you can simplify XAML syntax and usage, like what you have done to ASP.Net.
XAML did not have any major simplification, since it started.

                • Either support WPF-Visual-to-Metafile API or support new XPS clipboard format in MS Office

I'd like to paste the WPF vector output into MS Office. If Metafile export isn't supported then how about an XPS clipboard format that MS Office can consume.

                  • Add project-wide xmlns declaration and apply to all xaml files similar to aspx project-wide imports

Avoid having to repeat xmlns:foo in every xaml file in a project.

                    • Create Windows Forms to WPF Conversion Wizard in Visual Studio

Convert at least the UI to XAML. Similar in concept to the old VB6 to VB.NET wizard. This would help people who want to convert to WPF from Windows Forms. Understood that many third-party controls may not have analogs in the WPF world.

While we will continue to make the WPF tools in Visual Studio better with each release (example: Xaml Edit-and-Continue is VS “15”), we have no plans to implement a converter from Windows Forms to WPF at this time.

                        Thanks,
                        Visual Studio Team

                      • Implement Deep Zoom / MultiScaleImage

Would like this both for feature parity and to provide direct support for the creation of something like a native WPF Bing Maps control. Bridging in Silverlight apps or hosting a web page are not ideal solutions

                            • Windows 8 Touch keyboard in WPF

Please implement a simple way to show and control the Windows 8 Touch keyboard from WPF.
                              Something like this: http://brianlagunas.com/showing-windows-8-touch-keyboard-wpf/
But it would be nice if it's not a need to disable the RealTimeStylus!

                                • Make XmlnsDefinition work inside the same assembly

I can define XmlnsDefinitions to group my different namespaces from one assembly:

                                  MyLibrary.dll
                                  -> [assembly: XmlnsDefinition("myXamlNameSpace","My.Clr.Namespace")]
                                  -> [assembly: XmlnsDefinition("myXamlNameSpace","My.Other.Clr.Namespace")]

and use it from ANOTHER assembly:

                                  <Window xmlns="....."
                                  xmlns:my="myXamlNamespace"
                                  .... />

However, this doesn't work within the SAME assembly where the XmlnsAttributes are defined.

                                  • Introduce strongly typed bindings

When you create a {Binding}, the "Path" property is a string. This means no intellisense, no compile time check. A great enhancement would be to write a lambda expression in the XAML, just like in ASP.NET MVC Views. We would have compile time errors instead of run time errors, and support for refactoring.

                                      • Native support for video capture and video streaming.

It would be nice to have the ability to support a Video capture device natively. Currently you have to jump through a lot of hoops to get this running via DirectShow interop or MediaPlayer ActiveX. I'm thinking of applications like Media players, PVR/DVR functionality, broadcast, etc that can be manipulated in WPF 3D and transforms.

                                        • Add multi-selection support in ListCollectionView (and friends)

A ListCollectionView keeps a "SelectedItem" to track selected item in a collection, it would be really nice to extend it so it also has a "SelectedItems"-observablecollection that tracks more than one 1 item. And of course keep "SelectedItem" for the "most selected item" kind of.
